The University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce (UTCC), originally known as the College of Commerce, is the oldest private non-profit higher education institution founded by the Thai Chamber of Commerce in 1940 to provide business education targeting Thailand’s young people.

It was originally named The College of Commerce.
In 1984, the college was granted full university status under its current name.

UTCC’s vision is to become the leading university in Trade and Services in ASEAN. UTCC offers degrees in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Humanities, Science, Communication Arts, Engineering, Law, Tourism & Services, Early Childhood Education, and Digital Arts & Design. In addition, there are four colleges including Graduate School, College of Entrepreneurship, International School of Management, and Extension School, offering degree programs from bachelor to doctoral level as well as non-degree programs.
It is a place where academic theories and business experiences are integrated to produce graduates who can successfully meet today’s business challenges.

Furthermore, UTCC has successfully taken on the role of being a think-tank for both the public and private sectors in Thailand.
UTCC’s services include not only academic programs, but also customized training modules, business consultancy, and research.

Under the vision of the UTCC to become the leading university in Trade and Services in ASEAN, UTCC has also been running a very successful offshore Global MBA program in Myanmar (Yangon and Mandalay), with over 300 students currently enrolled over various batches, and about 700 Alumni since 2012. Many of the students are the top business entrepreneurs in their country.

This program was established in 2012 (Yangon) and 2013 (Mandalay) in partnership with The Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI), and UTCC expects a full resumption of the program once the Covid19 situation permits us to do so.
